Situated in Dvortsovaya Square, the NEP Cabaret Restaurant is the only place in St. Petersburg, that offers Russian, European and Thai cuisine — for gourmets, together with famous night shows in the traditions of world’s best cabarets. This unique combination makes the NEP Restaurant a perfect scenery for a celebration, corporate party or romantic evening.

At night —famous shows in the world’s best cabarets style. That’s the NEP Cabaret Restaurant, a perfect place for a celebration, corporate party or romantic evening.

Our restaurant is situated in the very heart of Saint Petersburg, Dvortsovaya Square. The interior of the Cabaret Restaurant, designed in the style of the 20s of the 20th century, also recreates the atmosphere of the NEP times. Cosy round panne sofas, soft cushions with tassels and festoons; the center is marked by the sparkling crystal basket chandelier, spreading its soft light over the hall. The furniture upholstery, as well as the ceiling and wall paintings are designed in subtle hues: beige, goldish and light green. The Restaurant has two halls. The main hall seating 60 people, and the VIP cabinet, which is a perfect place for business lunches or dinners and small family celebrations, seating 8 to 10 people.

In the NEP period, cabarets and restaurants with musical shows of jazz bands, frivolous singers and dancers were the most popular entertainment. Today, our classic red stage welcomes you in the main hall with the pride of our restaurant — the cabaret with its programme ‘A Little Journey to the Past...’ You’ll find yourself in the epoch, when one could get rich in a moment, when splendor and misery went hand in hand, when leather sword-belts were combined with lacquered boots, and frivolous songs were performed on the stage.

We’re glad to invite you to our original musical shows. Minimusical ‘Nostalgie’ presents a reminiscence of Russia in the beginning of the past century in a kaleidoscope of old melodies, romances, gypsy passions and wild dances. Retro voyage in three acts with a singer Ksyusha Arsenieva carries you back to the 20s of the last century. French, Russian and German restaurant songs and dance shows in the cabaret style. If you want to see something modern, we offer you a marvellous show programme ‘Broadway, Bravo!’ combining the elements of variety, musical and cabaret in the style of Broadway shows and famous musical films. Finally, music show ‘These Different Cabarets’, recognized as the best restaurant show in the ‘The Best Restaurant of St. Petersburg’ contest, recreates the refined atmosphere of Parisian café chantant, brings you the passion of toreadors and chic style of Chicago variety shows.

The menu of NEP is in line with the restaurant’s conception. It offers you a variety of Russian and European dishes that were popular among bourgeois of the 20s. Our chef, who is the bronze winner of the international cooking championship, especially recommends the specialties of Russian cuisine: ‘Plat du jour for Comrade Bender’ — steamed veal medallions with roasted vegetables and spicy sauce; ‘Hot Woman, Poet’s Dream’ — tender duck breast fillet with stewed cabbage and cranberry sauce is really mouthwatering. Gourmets will certainly appreciate the brochette of royal prawns and calamari with grilled vegetables and tar-tar sauce, or rocket salad with royal prawns, offered by the European part of the menu. Those who prefer fancy cuisine would certainly be tempted by spicy Thai soup with coconut milk, Syngaporean duck breast fillet, or rack of lamb with teriyaki sauce. These and other delicious dishes are waiting for you in the Thai menu.

The wine list of the restaurant is as impressive as its cuisine. Here you’ll find the wines from Chile, France, Italy, Spain, Argentina and South Africa; and for those who prefer the combination of exquisite taste of tobacco with stiff drinks, there is a wide choice of cigars with the corresponding cognacs, whiskeys, sherrys or port wines.
